Huge Marathon (Extraction Shooter) Announcement

Hello everyone,

Earlier this week, Bungie released quite a bit of new information about their upcoming IP, Marathon—an extraction shooter similar to Call of Duty: DMZ and Escape from Tarkov.

The game dropped a few trailers this week: a gameplay trailer and a lore trailer. My first impression? The visuals are colorful and appealing, but the gameplay looked, as some on the internet might say, a bit “mid.” It didn’t look bad, but nothing in the trailer really stood out to make the game feel unique.

Ironically, the lore trailer is one of the better ones I’ve seen in quite some time—definitely worth a watch.

On a side note, the Triple-I Initiative also showcased some new game trailers that may be worth checking out.
